Terry Jones' Medieval Lives

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
A readjustment of my understanding of the the history in the British Isles from about 1066 to 1536. All that TV stuff about good kings, bad kings, the nature of knights, damsels and chivalry... forget it all. Terry Jones divides the period up into an introduction and eight topics, and then serves up a few pages on an aspect of live or the development of an idea, all done in a genuinely interesting and entertaining way.
My rating: Wonderful
