Don't be put off by the title or the subject: it's an enjoyable read. I should also add: don't be put off by my faint praise. There's nothing wrong with this novel, and it trucked along nicely, keeping me entertained. The subject mater is: what happens when you die? Is there a way to make a connection beyond death? Yeah, so you need to suspend reality, and just enjoy the drama that unfolds. As for the title, well, the book was originally called just "Lucifer", but with the religious elements of the story I guess a publisher somewhere couldn't resist tagging on the "code" part. But put that aside, and give it a go. My rating: Enjoyable |
