Something to get you started with JDO.

You will get up and running with JDO using this book, and it covers a lot of ground and detail, but... it's not really the book I was looking for. What I really wanted was JDO For People Who Have Done a Lot of JDBC. It touches on, but doesn't help you, with the interesting parts of JDO: handling indexing, referential integrity and schema changes. Not that I've found anything better, but you might find something shorter if you shop around.
